OVERVIEW:
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care runs for 20 weeks fulltime, including practical placement in a child care centre. Essential knowledge and skills will be assessed through written work, simulated exercises, workshops and industry placement.
In addition to training, students from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be able to receive language support (if required) to enable them to work through their notes and prepare for assessment.
ACCREDITATION:
This course is nationally recognised.

- Assistant in a Childcare Centre,
- Playgroup Supervisor,
- Family Day Care Worker, or
- Mobile Assistant.
PATHWAYS:
Students aspiring to continue with further study can upgrade to the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:
Basic English language, literacy & numeracy skills.
LEARNING MODES:
Full-time on campus classes and mandatory industry placement (minimum 120 hours).
