OVERVIEW:
This Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care program is designed for participants who already hold CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and are employed in a childcare centre. Credit for units completed in Certificate III will be allocated as per the table below.

PATHWAYS:
Students may continue into higher education such as bachelor degree programs in Early Childhood or Education.
PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:
Hold Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and be employed in a childcare centre. (Placement may be arranged for participants who are not currently working.)
LEARNING MODES:
The course is scheduled over 18 months, using a blended learning format incorporating both face-to-face classes, and online delivery and tutoring, including at least:
- One full day face-to-face intensive per month (Saturdays)
- One face-to-face evening tutorial per month
- Weekly online tutorial/delivery sessions
- Ongoing phone and email support
Additional face-to-face sessions may be arranged as required, according to student needs. Regular workplace visits will also be undertaken to assess participants application of knowledge and skills.

COURSE FEES:
Total cost: $5000
Government Funding
Reduced fees may be available for eligible students under the Higher Level Skills program, funded by the Queensland Government.
To be eligible, participants must be:
- Be aged 15 years of age or older and no longer at school
- Be an Australian citizen/ permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, permanently living in Queensland
- Not hold or be enrolled in post-school Certificate IV or higher qualification (not including training completed at school, or foundation skills training)
Participants are required to pay a co-contribution fee, towards the cost of training. Fees are charged per unit of competency.
